Realtors Trade Open Houses for Open HeartsDecember 06, 2024
Realtors Trade Open Houses for Open Hearts Realtors traded open houses for open hearts assisted by staff of Grand Central Park and sister community Woodforest during this year’s JDC Empowers Realtors program. The program, which launched in 2023, encourages Realtors to help local organizations by volunteering their time. This year, our Realtors joined forces with some of the most awesomenon-profits around: Meals on Wheels, Inspiration Ranch, Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Montgomery County Youth Services. Johnson Development even sweetened the deal with a $2,000 donation to each non-profit they partnered with. In February, Johnson Development sponsored Montgomery County Youth Services’ annual Yes to Youth gala and donated essential supplies to support the youth in their programs. The county organization focuses on the emotional and mental health development of youth and families by offering crisis intervention, counseling and suicide prevention services. Thirty Realtors and team members rolled up their sleeves and repainted two horse pens in April for Inspiration Ranch, a Magnolia non-profit providing equine-assisted services. September saw 50 volunteers gather to build nearly 100 twin beds for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization whose mission is to provide beds to children in need. The program wrapped up 2024 by helping Meals on Wheels. The organization, which promotes the independence and dignity of homebound seniors in Montgomery County, welcomed volunteers who helped prepare Thanksgiving bags, breakfast bags and dog food giveaways for seniors with pets. We’re proud of everyone who came out and donated their time. We’ll see y’all again in 2025. |
