Celebrate Autumn With Safe Fall Fun

Fall celebrations are looking a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean skipping out on traditional activities. In Grand Central Park, our residents will be participating in Halloween Bingo, a Boo Party on Zoom, Fall Fest Driveway Party and more. All of it will be safe and socially distanced.

If you are looking for some fall festivities for your family, we’ve put together a list of local activities that should be both safe and fun.

October 

Trick or Treat Drive-Thru Trail — Conroe
2-4 p.m. Sat., Oct., 17
Free

A trail of tasty treats is in store for costume revelers at this year’s annual but socially distanced event. Drive through Carl Barton, Jr. Park, stopping at candy stations hosted by vendors along the way. Costumed cars are also encouraged. 

Movie in the Woods ­— Conroe
7:15 p.m. Sat., Oct., 17
Free

Once you’ve driven through the trail of treats, stay for a showing of the 2019 version of the Addams Family. Participation in the Trick or Treat Drive-Thru Trail is not required. Don’t forget blankets, pillows and lawn chairs.

Thrill at the Mill — Conroe
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 31
Free Admission

Head out to 7 Acre Wood for free candy, vendors, a petting zoo, miniature golf and more. Hayrides, pony rides, barrel train rides, pumpkins, food, paintball and face painting available for a fee.

Treetop Terror! — The Woodlands
7 p.m. Fri. and Sat., Oct. 30 and 31
$50 per person. Only for ages 13 and older.

Make a spooky climb during this fun-filled Halloween weekend at Texas Tree Ventures featuring themed-decorations and a two-hour night climb. Limited spots are available. Reservations required.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum SpookTacular – The Woodlands
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat., Oct. 31
$5 for museum members $10 for non-members

It’s an all-day Monster Mash for children aged 7 and under filled with face painting, Tom’s Fun Band, magic with Professor Hughdini, spooky stories, art projects and mad science slime. Costumes encouraged.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm – Spring
4-7 p.m. Fri., 10 a.m.-7 p.m. weekends through Nov. 1
$7 per person ages 2 and up

The pumpkins are back and so is the fun. Enjoy pumpkins for purchase along with eight great attractions including a bounce house, corn maze, hayrides and more. Food available for purchase. The patch is taking extra precautions to keep the entire family safe.

November 

Sunset & S’mores — The Woodlands
4-7 p.m. Fri., Nov. 6
$40 per person

Texas Tree Ventures is hosting a two-hour sunset climb followed by a marshmallow roast and s’mores.

Lighting of the Doves — The Woodlands
4-8 p.m. Sat., Nov. 21
Free

This long-standing tradition will look a little different this year, but you will still be able to see Santa's arrival to Town Green Park, the dove-lighting ceremony and fireworks.
