Who's Letting the Dogs Out? We Are!September 25, 2017
We think it’s time to let the dogs out — on our beautiful new trail system that is — so we’re asking mighty mutts and pure-bred pups to strut their stuff at Bark in the Park, Saturday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m. to noon. The canine-friendly walk is an opportunity for the public to explore our resident-only trail system and have fun along the way. Dogs and their two-legged companions will meet up at the Lake House, 715 Camp Strake Road, for a 1- or 2.5-mile walk on a route that winds through the gorgeous wooded areas surrounding Grand Central Park before returning to the starting point. Don’t have a furry Fido? That’s okay, come on out and do some dog-watching. Putting the “wow” in “bow wow” will be an after “paw-ty” celebrating all things canine. Activities will include:
Voluntary donations will be accepted at the event for Operation Pets Alive, a non-profit, all-volunteer Montgomery County animal welfare organization. To participate in Bark in the Park, dogs should be leashed and wearing their current identification and rabies tags. Female dogs cannot be in heat. No more than two dogs per walker will be allowed.
