Big Crowds Come to Experience Grand Central Park as Prized, North Houston Property Begins New Era

May 04, 2017

Years after Boy Scout troops set up their final camp on forested property north of Houston at I-45 and Loop 336, the setting once again was a buzz of activity when more than 2,000 prospective homebuyers came to experience the grand opening of Grand Central Park, Montgomery County’s newest community of homes.

“There’s been so much talk about the community so we knew interest would be strong, but I had no idea it would be like this,” says Krista Glasscock, sales counselor for Coventry Homes.  “It was definitely the most foot traffic I’ve experienced in all my years in the business.”

As expected, the grand opening crowds were largely made up of working couples and active empty nesters seeking to learn more about Grand Central Park’s urban living experience within the wooded, natural setting.

Glasscock even prepared a sales contract at the grand opening for a couple touring Grand Central Park for the first time in preparation for their relocation to Houston to work at the nearby ExxonMobil corporate campus.

Heading into the community grand opening, 14 percent of Grand Central Park’s 550 phase-one homesites were sold or under construction for move-in ready homes.

The carefully planned community Johnson Development Corp. presents new luxury patio homes, lifestyle townhomes and larger, single-family homes by Coventry Homes, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Jaeger Homes, Perry Homes and Village Builders.

Its nine luxury model homes, each fully furnished and professionally decorated, are open daily.

Grand Central Park is located minutes from The Woodlands, the ExxonMobil corporate campus, George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Conroe North-Houston Regional Airport. Residents enjoy the convenience of nearby world-class healthcare and the on-site 336 MARKETPLACE, a 700,000 square-foot regional shopping, dining and entertainment destination opening in early 2018 at the southwest corner of Loop 336 and I-45.
