A Must Visit: P-6 FarmsSeptember 19, 2019
In the Central Hub I've written about many things for adults to do ranging from concert venues, best places to get coffee to delicious food and wine. I’ve even talked about yoga studios and my favorite chiropractor...and so on. But what about the littles in your life… what are some fun things for them to do? Well, look no further friends. Today I’m super excited to talk to you about P-6 Farms! Have you heard of them? Adults, this is a place where you very well could be outnumbered in terms of kid-to-adult ratio! And that’s a good thing!! It’s a place where kids can have “Texas-size fun”. P-6 Farms started as a cattle company in 1973 by Raymond and Pam Poole and was a working ranch that consisted of buying and selling cattle along with hay production. The owners’ son, Bo Poole, found a need for growing other crops and vegetables which then lead to the idea of teaching everyday agriculture life by way of the area’s first Corn Maze. It has grown from there and is truly a “family affair”. Not only is P- 6 Farms known as a great venue for Field Trips and Birthday Parties, each year they host an Easter Festival, U-Pick ‘em & Farmer’s Market and Summer Farm Camp. They are also known for their out-of-this-world Fall Festival and Corn Maze which is set to open September 28th and will remain open through November 9th!! Can you say pumpkin patch, hay ride and lots and lots of fun? Actually, there are so many interesting things to do:
If you want to win the Mommy, Daddy, Aunt, Uncle or Grandparent of the year award, then you’ve got to take that special little person(s) in your life to P-6 Farms this Fall. It’s (almost) Fall Y’all. See you at P-6 Farms! |
